Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using eatingseoul.com("the Service"), operated by EatingSeoul ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
EatingSeoul provides:
- A restaurant directory listing restaurants in Seoul, South Korea, with information such as menus, hours, locations, and reviews.
- A free booking request service where users can submit reservation requests. EatingSeoul acts as an intermediary to help arrange reservations with restaurants on your behalf.
- Blog content related to dining in Seoul.
3. Booking Request Service
3.1 Nature of Service
EatingSeoul provides a booking intermediary service, not a direct reservation system. We forward your booking request to the restaurant and facilitate communication, but we do not guarantee that a reservation will be confirmed.
3.2 No Fees
EatingSeoul does not charge any deposit, fee, or commission to users for booking requests. You are solely responsible for any charges incurred at the restaurant (meals, services, etc.).
3.3 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information when submitting a booking request, including your name, contact details, party size, and questionnaire responses. Submitting false or misleading information may result in your request being declined and your account being restricted.
3.4 Cancellation & No-Show Policy
- If you need to cancel a confirmed reservation, you must notify us at least 24 hours before the reserved time by contacting stan@eatingseoul.com.
- No-shows (failing to arrive at the restaurant without prior cancellation) are taken seriously. Repeated no-shows may result in a temporary or permanent ban from using the booking service.
- We reserve the right to restrict booking access for any user with a history of no-shows or last-minute cancellations.
3.5 Limitation of Liability
EatingSeoul is not liable for:
- The quality of food, service, or experience at any restaurant listed on our platform.
- Any dispute between you and a restaurant, including billing, allergies, or service quality.
- Reservation failures due to the restaurant's unavailability, overbooking, or changes in operating hours.
- Any loss, injury, or damage arising from your visit to a restaurant.
Our role is limited to facilitating the reservation request. Once a booking is confirmed, the contractual relationship for dining is solely between you and the restaurant.
4. User Accounts
- You must create an account to use the booking request feature.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Submit false, spam, or abusive booking requests.
- Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our written consent.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on EatingSeoul — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service or the information listed on it, including restaurant details, opening hours, menus, and prices.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EatingSeoul shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from or related to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
